Claire is an Expert Dietitian and Nutritionist with a wealth of experience working in the UK and Singapore.

Claire believes food is so much more than nutrition. Your food choices tell your story, they are a culmination of your experiences, your culture, your beliefs and your life story. Food is about nourishment, yes, but also about social connection, about pleasure, about comfort and making memories.

With a passion for evidence based and personalised nutrition, Claire combines nutrition science with a whole heap of empathy, compassion and understanding to help you achieve your goals.

Why see a Dietitian?

In the UK ‘Dietitian’ is a protected title, because registered dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law, and are governed by an ethical code to ensure that they always work to the highest standard. The minimum requirement to qualify as a dietitian is a 4 year BSc in Dietetics or a related science degree with a postgraduate diploma in Dietetics. Dietitian’s are then registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) - the regulatory body.

Professional Membership and Achievements

Claire is registered with the HCPC and is also a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and it’s specialist groups: Freelance Dietitians Group (FDG), Gastroenterology Group (GSG), Sports Nutrition Group (SENr) and the Maternal Nutrition and Fertility Group - the last of which she is a committee member.

Claire underwent further training and was a member of the Early Life Nutrition Alliance for a few years. This is a group of experienced dietitians who specialise in reproductive and prenatal nutrition. To join the ELNA team, dietitians undergo comprehensive assessment and training, so that you can be assured that when it comes to reproductive and prenatal nutrition, you are receiving the best services possible.

Claire was part of the working party reviewing the GSG IBS Guidelines in 2016 and as part of her research work Claire is published academic author & lecturer. She also is a cofounder and moderator of a nutrition and dietetic online journal club designed to support nutrition professionals develop and improve their critical appraisal skills.
