Women’s Health & Fertility Nutrition

Most women are guilty of prioritising others over themselves, taking care of others and not getting round to looking after their own needs. It’s time we reprioritise and put our own health first, after all if you aren’t healthy and well yourself, how can you be in a place to look after others? Many women’s health conditions like PCOS, endometriosis and infertility go un-noticed by others, whilst the women themselves are silently suffering with pain, stress, fatigue, menstrual symptoms and more.

Diet and lifestyle changes can have a huge impact on improving these conditions and simply getting the support and guidance from a caring and empathetic practitioner can itself make a big difference. Claire is passionate about working within the women’s health field especially in the following areas:

PCOS

Women with PCOS often struggle with an array of hormone-related symptoms including cravings, fatigue, menstrual pain, anxiety, depression and even difficulties trying to conceive.

Research suggests diet and lifestyle can have a big impact on PCOS symptoms and really improve quality of life. Much like the how the symptoms of PCOS show up differently for different women, there is no one-size fits all diet to help PCOS, and the best approach is the one that works for you and your way of life. For personalised advice on managing your PCOS, get in touch now.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis can affect up to 1 in 10 women and often takes years of pain and suffering and endless investigations before a diagnosis is made. Quality of life can be massively affected by chronic pain, heavy and irregular periods, bleeding in between periods, painful sex, as well as gut symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea or constipation.

Although the exact causes of endometriosis are unknown, there is some evidence that diet and lifestyle can have a positive impact on endometriosis symptoms and management of the disease.

Fertility

The choices you and your partner make now, when it comes to diet and lifestyle, can affect not only the future health of your baby, but even just the chances of getting pregnant in the first place.

Infertility affects up to 12% of couples and can be an extremely stressful time. If you are struggling to conceive and want to optimise your chances of pregnancy by ensuring that your diet and lifestyle are in tip top shape then get in touch.
